Bears have a good sense of smell but weak eyesight and hearing. This is reflected in their large nose and very small ears and eyes.

Many Bears are dormant in the winter, which means they doze or sleep non-stop for a long time. They eat and eat during the summer and autumn months to build up fat that they can live off in the winter. Cubs are born during this time.
